Waterpipes : I realize that we have been taking photos of the waterpipes in the African Village every year at Sziget Festival, but you must admit it's a pretty cool sight.

World Music Instruments : Yes, people actually buy these instruments at Sziget Festival and you see many impromptu performance riding on the tail of the scheduled performers at the African Village, long into the morning hours.

Hairdressers at the African Village : The hairdresser/dread lock stand is one of the most popular destinations among those visiting Sziget's African Village.

Jack Lang, former Minister of Culture, France : Jack Lang is the former Minister of Culture in France. He invented Music Day, whereby on June 21st people are invited to join others to play music on the streets whereever they are all across France. Mr. Lang visited Sziget Festival upon having heard about it on the radio and having thought it would be an event much in his spirit and to his liking. He was not disappointed.

Relaxing in the Coxpin Ambient Tent : The Cokxpon Ambient tent is a place where many festivalgoers come to relax. There's a strict no-shoes policy, and if you don't like incense, you'ld better keep out...

Balkan Fanatik : Coming from the Netherlands, I would have never known the existence, let alone the music, of Balkan Fanatik. The band played on the stage right outside the Sziget offices, and they really knew how to get their crowd going!

Windy Performance : On the evening of day 3, a rather gusty wind gave a welcome breath of air from the day-time heat, but it also caused some performances to be cancelled. At the Cokxpon Ambient Tent, this performanc actually combined rather well with the wind, though the projected backdrops turned out a bit more "dynamic" than intended.

Puppet Performance : For me, the many little performances on the festival grounds are what makes Sziget so great.

Silk Dance at the Magic Mirror : Dorice Arsenopuolou performs a Silk Dance at the Magic Mirror. A beautiful mix of mesmerizing ligthing and movements with gripping music.
