Sex Pistols : Well . . . they were quite a sight, but many argue that the music just wasn't there anymore. You do see they packed them in though, and I haven't talked to anyone who didn't enjoy themselves. You do the math.

Jack Lang, former Minister of Culture, France : Jack Lang is the former Minister of Culture in France. He invented Music Day, whereby on June 21st people are invited to join others to play music on the streets whereever they are all across France. Mr. Lang visited Sziget Festival upon having heard about it on the radio and having thought it would be an event much in his spirit and to his liking. He was not disappointed.

Separe (VIP) Cafe during the Iron Maiden Concert : The VIP tent quickly filled up during the pre-festival Iron Maiden concert provideing occasional views and often comfortably muffled sound . . .

Dalmat : The French Have Arrived : Over the past few years the French presence has gradually grown into a significant force, both in the way of performers and visitors. Along the way Dalmat has become their stronghold, and the French will crowd the place every Sziget night.

View From Budapest Castle Hill : While hanging out in Budapest awaiting the Festival days, I took Gilles to some of the must see Budapest sites, among them, to Castle Hill. It was a perfect night for taking a pano: clear, crisp, barely any tourists. Free parking on Sundays, to boot ;^)

Summer On The Chain Bridge : 'On the hottest weekends of the summer the Chain Bridge, one of the symbols of Budapest, will once again be the domain of strollers, the curious, fun-lovers, shoppers and above all, the arts.
