Radio Barkas : Radio Barkas is the tiny (and oh-so-cute) mobile radio station, broadcasting a groovy mix of 50s and 60s songs to the festival grounds. The music is played from a "condensed" Barkas car, which has all the Barkas djs need in it; turntables, music, speakers, and a smoke machine!

London-based Oi Va Voi's debut album, Laughter Through Tears topped the world music radio chart for three months in 2003, and the record finished second out of 1040 nominees on the annual list. Not bad for a relative newcomer that had only existed for three years. However, it is not that surprising considering that we are talking about Oi Va Voi, who didn't even have a full-length record out, when they were already invited to play at such big festivals as Glastonbury. Tzumo Árpád Oláh was born on 29 January 1980 into a musical family. He started playing the piano at the age of seven. He studied classical music at the Weiner Leó Conservatory (Hungary Budapest), after he received a scholarship to the Ferenc Erkel School of Jazz Music. Eszter Takáts and the Gumizsuzsi : While guitar strumming women are a dime a dozen in the States - I am not making a judgment call here, merely statin that the genre is popular -, Hungary has a much slimmer offering of the type, population scale taken into account. Eszter Takáts is one of those, here performing with her band, although otherwise often seen solo and in several other configurations.

1979: Beatrice played punk rock music, being the first band in Hungary. Their music were cheap and aggressive. It was against the Socialist system and became highly popular, mostly among the working class young people. It was a unique Hungarian version of punk using folk elements . . . Fero was the absolute frontman, usually making comical and/or aggressive monologues or performances on stage calling himself the "Roach of the Nation".
