Rope-skipping at the Hungaricum Village : After their last show at the Traveling Funfair circus tent, the Japanese Performers traveled across the island to join the Hungarians in their games. Though born in Japan, the performers are Hungarian citizens too, you know! Wine Garden | 2009-08-15
Wine Garden : The Wine Graden is new in 2009. Hungary being a wine drinking nation it's only befitting and one wonders how the festival got away with not having a Wine Garden for 15 years ;^). Waking up along the Danube | 2009-08-15
Waking up along the Danube : I wandered around an earily quiet island on the early morning of day 4. Early islanders were getting up, while late islanders were getting their last beer at 8:00 in the morning. This spot on the northern end of the island must be the most idyllic place to pitch your tent; waking up to the returning of chirping birds and the serene sounds of the Danube flowing. You just have to hope there are no flash floods. Museum Row | 2009-08-14
Museum Row : Do museums put you to sleep? Well, you;re not alone. OK, that wasn't fair, but it was sooo easy . . . Seesaw Ship | 2009-08-14
Seesaw Ship : I don't know if you can make out what's going on here. I do know however, that even if you figured out that the wooden arc full of people rocks back and forth, you are likely not able to imagine what a rush you get when ending up on the tall end of the arc whille it is in swing. Waterpipes | 2009-08-14
Waterpipes : I think waterpipe themed panoramas will have to have their dedicated category soon, we have shot so many of these over the years. Then again, they are seemingly becoming as much of a staple for visitors as palinka. On the upside, after the pipe, you can still drive home. Souvenir Shop | 2009-08-14
Souvenir Shop : What's a festival without nick-nacks? Indonesian Tea House | 2009-08-14
Indonesian Tea House : From the looks of it, the water pipes were more popular than the tea, but hey, as long as there are belly dancers . . . Outside the Cokxpon Ambient Tent | 2009-08-13
Outside the Cokxpon Ambient Tent : The Cokxpon Ambient Tent has always been one of my favorite little relaxing areas. Shoes off before you enter, lie down, and chill out.
This year they opened up the garden for shoe-wearers. Interesting choice, as I've always thought of the shoes-off policy as an ingenious barrier for people to leave the tent; the atmosphere and performances were so relaxing that putting your shoes back on is just to bothersome. Metal Drums | 2009-08-13
Metal Drums : In a somewhat hidden pocket between the Amphitheater and Octopus was this hands-on perucssion workshop inviting all to bang out their hearts for others to enjoy, but at least tolerate. Page: [ 1 | 2 ]
