Tankcsapda 20th Anniversary Concert : Tankcsapda, Hungary's old time rockers comemorated their 20 year existence with an extravagant show the day before festivities began on the shipyard island in Budapest for Sziget 2009.

Octopus : This one is taken along the Museum Row, which further extended the reach of Octopus this year. From the looks of it, yo could hang out and/or saw things.

Day 5 - Playing with Fire :

Hangmas : 'Since its formation in 2002, Budapest's Hangmas Zenekar has emerged as one of the more colorful elements of the Hungarian underground scene. With its distinctive atmosphere and unique sound, one might find it rather difficult to place the band in any specific genre . . . '

Windy Performance : On the evening of day 3, a rather gusty wind gave a welcome breath of air from the day-time heat, but it also caused some performances to be cancelled. At the Cokxpon Ambient Tent, this performanc actually combined rather well with the wind, though the projected backdrops turned out a bit more "dynamic" than intended.

Day 8 - Farewell (Tents) :

Beatrice : Just to whet your appetite, here's a quote from Wikipedia:

It was against the Socialist system and became highly popular, mostly among the working class young people. It was a unique Hungarian version of punk using folk elements . . .
