Splish-splash, taking a bath | 2008-08-15
Splish-splash, taking a bath : This must have been one of the smarter performances I have seen on the festival yet; the temperature easily reaches 30°C, and these guys were "selling" photo-ops for beer. Simply brilliant. DAY 1 - Glen Motlock | 2006-08-09
Memories | 2009-08-13
Memories : Hungarian old timers like to say, 'The only thing worse than communism is post-communism'. Now, I would take that witha grain of salt, but there's a certain attachment in many to some things from that era. And Sziget Festival 2009, once again, brings you an exhibit of artifacts from everyday Hungarian life of its infamous recent history, with a guide brought back to life for this very purpose. DAY 1 - Kiss Forever (Tribute Band) | 2006-08-09
DAY 1 - Kiss Forever (Tribute Band) : Torok Adam | 2008-08-14
Torok Adam : Another Hungarian classic. Back when the Poles were doing amazing experimental jazz stuff with the flute, Torok brought the instrument to Hungarian pop, and never stopped evolving with it.

Day 4 - After the Rain (Mud Wresting) : Day 2 - Hiding from the Rain | 2007-08-09
Day 2 - Hiding from the Rain : Windy Performance | 2008-08-15
Windy Performance : On the evening of day 3, a rather gusty wind gave a welcome breath of air from the day-time heat, but it also caused some performances to be cancelled. At the Cokxpon Ambient Tent, this performanc actually combined rather well with the wind, though the projected backdrops turned out a bit more "dynamic" than intended. Hungarikum (Ceramics) | 2009-08-15
Hungarikum (Ceramics) : While there have been exhibits dealing with Hungarian ethnic art and folklore during Sziget Festivals past, none as fun and interactive as this year's Hungaricum Village. Beautifully built country house facades complete with real sunflowers and demonstrations of Hungarian country life which you can wear, taste and play along with.
