DAY 6 - Playing with Fire (Traveling Fun Fair at Night) | 2006-08-14
DAY 6 - Playing with Fire (Traveling Fun Fair at Night) : KAP - View over the Traveling Fun Fair | 2007-08-13
KAP - View over the Traveling Fun Fair : This is my honest-to-god first-ever panorama taken with a camera suspended from a kite. The camera is remote controlled so it can be rotated and "fired" from the ground. Enano : Red Chocolate | 2008-08-14
Enano : Red Chocolate : Funny guy. Self labeled 'Free Artist'. In essence a clown improviser who draws in the crowd with in unconventional and unpredictable farces for all ages and families. Konrad Fredericks : Further Adventures of Mr. Punch | 2005-08-15
Konrad Fredericks : Further Adventures of Mr. Punch : Anton Anderle : The World's Smallest Circus | 2005-08-14
Anton Anderle : The World's Smallest Circus : Moulin Ruzs | 2008-08-13
Moulin Ruzs : Moulin Ruzs ('ruzs' in hungarian is pronounced much like 'rouge', but instead means 'lipsstick') is funny, slightly adult-themed entertainment concept. You go in, get your makeup on (you shall be assisted), then take a seat. Instead of food, you are served various beanbag objects, such as breasts and dogpoop. You can fling these at numerous targets from the comfort of your seat...
There's no way not to participate, so here's a panoramic self portrait... Japanese Performers | 2009-08-15
Japanese Performers : In light of the Japanese-Hungarian Cultural Festival, and with the support of the Japanese Embassy in Budapest, a group of performers did two traditional productions daily.
The performers were happy to gather round me, and cheer me on. "Ou-i-ja!", if I remember correctly, is what they were chanting. Memories | 2009-08-13
Memories : Hungarian old timers like to say, 'The only thing worse than communism is post-communism'. Now, I would take that witha grain of salt, but there's a certain attachment in many to some things from that era. And Sziget Festival 2009, once again, brings you an exhibit of artifacts from everyday Hungarian life of its infamous recent history, with a guide brought back to life for this very purpose. Radio Barkas | 2009-08-13
Radio Barkas : Radio Barkas is the tiny (and oh-so-cute) mobile radio station, broadcasting a groovy mix of 50s and 60s songs to the festival grounds. The music is played from a "condensed" Barkas car, which has all the Barkas djs need in it; turntables, music, speakers, and a smoke machine! Page: [ 1 | 2 ]
