Sziget Festival 2009 Panorama: On the Beach
Despite 'sziget' meaning 'island' in Hungarian, it's easy to forget that you are surrounded by water, while immersed in he festival offerings, and certainly possible to be aware and yet oblivious that there are beaches around you. I reserve the right to feel a certain homoerotic vibe looking around in this one, but at least reminisce of my adolescent reading of the Lord of the Flies.

Hungaricum (The Village) : While there have been exhibits dealing with Hungarian ethnic art and folklore during Sziget Festivals past, none as fun and interactive as this year's Hungaricum Village. Beautifully built country house facades complete with real sunflowers and demonstrations of Hungarian country life which you can wear, taste and play along with. Tents! | 2009-08-12
Tents! : The campers have taken over the island. Tents, tents everywhere. Not just in designated camping areas like here, but also right besides the loudest of stages. Do these people intend to sleep at all? Crafts | 2008-08-16
