Check out the guy in the middle of the stage. He looks like he's about to get beamed up. Anti-Flag | 2008-08-13
Anti-Flag : 'For the real story on Anti-Flag you have to go way back to 1988. At that time, Pat could hardly play drums and I was even worse at guitar. But the fact remained that we were the only punk rockers in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania (the town where we grew up) and when faced with either hanging out at the mall, getting fucked out of our minds on drugs, or attempting to play punk rock, we went straight for the punk rock! . . . Gearing Up (Main Stage) : Day -2: The Main Stage is getting ready for a new series of performances during Sziget Festival 2009. Above the crowd for Pendulum | 2009-08-14
Above the crowd for Pendulum : Pendulum was supposed to play at last year's festival, but they had to cancel last-minute because of a fatal accident while transporting their gear. This year they made up for it, opening for The Prodigy. They dedicated their performance to the person who did not make it out of that accident.
I thoroughly enjoyed being in the back of the crowd, and I was clearly not the only one; it felt as if the whole island was drawn to the main stage area, leaving bars and other stages all but empty. They sure set the bar high for Prodigy to follow them up.
